Info from Lux

Here is the info about the drop-in that Lux supports at Commonwealth...

The Commonwealth Drop-in is every Friday from 5:30 to 10 pm and it's open to anyone 13-18 who identifies as 2-Spirit, Queer, Trans and their allies! We have dinner every week usually around 630 and we generally end up baking cookies or mug cakes or something sweet towards the end of the night! We have a functioning recording studio, video games (Wii U and Xbox 360), a pool table, two ping pong tables, foosball and a super sized chess board on the floor. There's usually anywhere between 10-30 people there and I've always been really impressed with how welcoming and inclusive the space is to newcomers. We also have a few regular members who aren't as social/talkative that prefer to hang out a little more quietly, so there's usually a chill zone with art supplies and snacks for people to just relax as well.

We usually don't have set group activities but we've been known to have open mics, clothing swaps, dance parties, Degrassi marathons, picnics, lazer tag outings and more! It's a really fun community of kids and we see such a range of personalities and interests that I really would recommend it to anyone who's trying to find LGBT community.
