After a rough start to the beginning of class by Ms. Paas (sorry!),

Meiosis - hands on

Just a few, but SUPER important, notes to finish up about meiosis before we start really looking at these cells.

Task:
Once you have cut out and ordered your cells through their stages of meiosis I and meiosis II, paste them onto your sheet of paper in the "picture" column.  Add detailed descriptions of each stage in the "descriptions" column.  New vocab terms to include (but only where applicable):
independent assortment (and define it), cross over (and define it), daughter cells, gametes, daughter cells, diploid cell (2n), haploid (n), homologous chromosomes, sister chromatids.  Label each phase is the "phase" column.

One the back of your paper, create a Venn diagram thoroughly comparing and contrasting mitosis and meiosis

TASK IS DUE MONDAY
